Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer

Lewis Utting is an experienced executive with a background in technology commercialisation, strategic growth and capital markets across the mining, water treatment and industrial technology sectors.

Mr Utting joined Iondrive as Commercial Director in November 2024 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2026. As CEO, he led the Company’s move from an R&D focused battery recycling business towards the commercial deployment of IONSolv™ as a broader critical minerals recovery platform, including its expansion into rare earth magnet recycling. He also established Iondrive’s commercial pathway in the United States, advancing commercial partnerships, government engagement, investor relations and funding initiatives.

In August 2026, Mr Utting moved into the role of Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer. His focus is on commercial execution, strategic partnerships and new opportunities, as well as supporting the Company’s capital markets, government engagement and international growth activities.

Before joining Iondrive, Mr Utting was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ASX listed SciDev Limited, where he led a period of significant commercial growth and expansion. Earlier in his career, he held global business development and R&D roles with BASF across the mining and oilfield sectors.
