Dokcheon Au-Ag
Dokcheon falls along a broad north-northwest – south-southeast precious metal fertile structural lineament that hosts the Sangeun and Eunjok epithermal gold-silver mining area to the immediate northwest.
Occurrences and historical gold-silver mining sites are present along its entire extent.
Three quartz vein zones that have been identified to date are significant, due to highly anomalous gold values obtained, true widths that exceed one metre, and a minimal mapped and float inferred strike extent of at least two hundred and fifty metres for the most persistent vein set. All veins are yet to be closed off in both strike directions. The veins and their rhyolitic to dacitic host rocks display classical high-level Low-Sulfidation Adularia-Sericite Type quartz textures and argillic silica illite/ adularia-clay-pyrite alteration assemblages.
